Butler, Velma "Val" Jean

Peacefully, with her family by her side, on Monday May 20th, 2019 at Bluewater Health in Sarnia, at the age of 73. She will be sadly missed by her partner Jane Stephenson. Loving mother of Laurie Jean and her husband Sunil Bharitkar, and grandmother of Ariana and Ashwin. Dear sister of Jane Johnston and Dorothy Morgan, and Captain John McIntyre and his wife Clair. She will be remembered by her nieces Mary and Patricia, and nephews Mike, Jimmy, Brian, David, and Peter, along with several great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Herbert and Blanche, her twin brother Robert Butler, and her brother-in-laws Don Bell, Wilfred Johnston and Ron Morgan. A special thank you to staff and nurses in the Emergency, Telemetry, and Palliative Care departments for their compassionate care of Val. Cremation has taken place, a Celebration of Val’s Life will take place at a later date.
