Spinks, Raymond “Ray”

Peacefully with family by his side on Saturday February 9, 2019 at Marshall Gowland Manor in Sarnia, at the age of 86. Raymond was predeceased by his former wife and friend Helen Dugas (2016). Loving father of Gerald Spinks (Danielle), Kevin Spinks (Ela), Rob Spinks (Shelly) and Scott Spinks (Vicki). Cherished grandfather of Jeremy, Amber Young (William), Gerald Jr., Jordan, Erin, Adam, Kyle, Jacob, Jennifer Hook (Brian), Spencer, Keegan, Kaitlyn, Scott Jr, Ashley (Max) and Cody (Rebecca), and great grandfather of Ayden, Cylas, Caroline, Dominic, Donovan, Ava-Rose, Jade and Abby. He will be sadly missed by his sister Beatrice Giffen (Lloyd) and sister-in-law Joyce Spinks. Predeceased by his parents Cecil & Flossy Spinks (n. Lumley), and brothers Henry, Clifford, Percy, and Ross. Many special thanks to the nurses and staff at Marshall Gowland Manor for their many years of care and friendship. Friends will be received at the McCormack Funeral Home – Stewart Chapel, 254 George Street (at College Avenue) on Tuesday February 12 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at McCormack Funeral Home on Wednesday February 13 at 11 am. Burial will follow at Zion United Church Cemetery. I never had the chance to meet much of this side of the family but I was told by my Aunt that Ray was my Mom's cousin. Her name was Frances and she was Luella's middle child. Sorry we haven't had the opportunity to get to know one another, we have lived out West in BC for several years. Just wanted to send our condolences to I guess would be my cousin Ray's family. Our thoughts are with you. Sorry for your loss. Maybe some day we'll get to meet. You are welcome to email me if you want to keep in touch. This message will have my email address.
