Beauchamp, Martin

Peacefully on Tuesday February 27th, 2018 at Bluewater Health in Sarnia, with his family by his side. Marty was predeceased by his loving wife of 50 years Margery (2014).

Beloved father of his wonderful children Marcel Beauchamp, Wendy and Greg Box, and Ruth and Brad Basso.

Loving Grandfather & Bubba to Chantelle and Nicole Beauchamp and Braden and Maddi Basso. Survived his sisters Betty McDonald (Joe), and Merle Milsom (Bud).

Martin was a well known and respected mechanic for 37 years at Canadian Tire along with his bench partner Jimmy Powell. Marty also shared a special friendship with his neighbour Chris Schooley for 30 years. His days were brightened by his best buddy Truman.

Marty faced his diagnosis bravely because

he knew he had a date with an angel.

Cremation has taken place. At Martin's request there will be no visitation or services. Remembrances and condolences may be expressed to the family online in "Martin's Guestbook" at mccormackfuneralhomesarnia.com. In lieu of flowers donations may be given to the Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements entrusted to McCormack Funeral Home – Stewart Chapel, Sarnia.

When my Uncle Marcel informed me today of Martin's passing, a number of long forgotten and good memories emerged. Fireworks night in Verdun, visits to the MAA grounds in Westmount, and long train rides from Montreal to Sarnia with my family to visit Martin and his family. I am also glad that, on a business trip to Sarnia in the 1990s, I was able to spend a couple of hours with Martin and his family. My condolences go out to Betty and Merle. Rest in Peace, cousin. Marcel, Wendy, Ruth and families, We were very sorry to read about your dad's passing. I have so many good memories of teaching the three of you and getting so much support and kindness from your parents. Homemade bread and wine are two of those memories as well as swimming parties, along with lots of laughter and warmth. Your parents were good people and these characteristics became evident in their children. Deepest sympathies to each of you.

Though greatly saddened by Martys passing,i consider myself fortunate to have known him and spent time talking with him,he was a great father and husband to my sister,he was truly loved by everyone who knew him,he was a generous man in so many ways,i love to remember him and my sister as Mr&Mrs.Santa Claus,i remember the early days of him courting Margey,he would sit playing guitar with my Mom on piano,my Dad also on guitar and Margey singing,i loved those times,he had an appreciation of beauty as evidenced in his yardwork,i know he was very proud of his family, and loved gathering them in his home,he was an important part of my life and I do wish that I told him so,he taught me things and always made me feel like he was interested in my thoughts,i miss you Marty as do we all and look forward to a great reunion someday in Gods kingdom, rest in peace knowing you left a wonderful legacy.
