With loving family by her side, Marie Louise Kohut passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at St. Joseph's Hospice, at the age of 81. Beloved wife of Bohdan Kohut for over 61 years. Loving mother of Craig (Jo-Ann) Kohut, Carey (Ruth) Kohut, Cam (Carolyn) Kohut, Chris (Mary-Lynn) Kohut and Corrie (Mark) Barber. She was an avid golfer and a member of Greenwood, Sawmill, and Huron Oaks Golf Courses. She loved traveling, weekly trips to the casino, lunches out, long distance phone calls, and golf outings with her good friends and especially her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, and remembered for her sense of style and her collection of clothes with matching accessories. Special thanks to Dr. Maddison and the hospice team, as well as the VON team, for their extraordinary care and kindness. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be held at a future date. Family and friends will be received at McCormack Funeral Home, 254 George Street, (at College Avenue) Sarnia, on Sunday February 24 from 2-4 pm. Boh, Craig, Carey, Cam, Chris and Corrie and your extended families my deepest sympathies for the loss of Marie. She was a ray of sunshine - always so welcoming and fun to be around. I remember well our high school parties over on Vidal St. with Boh and Marie joining us on the dance floor. Lot's of golf and so many family gatherings where I was welcomed as one of the family. I'm sorry I won't be able to be there personally (I'm in Whistler skiing for the week) but will give a call to get together when I'm in Sarnia. My condolences to everyone. Love Scott
