Laird; William “Ross”

Peacefully on Sunday June 26, 2016 at Vision Nursing Home, at the age of 70. Ross, loving brother of Ron and his wife Liz, and Mary and her husband Roger. Remembered by his nephew Bill and his wife Earla, his niece Michelle Dyke and her husband Travis, his nephew Richard, and his nephew Roger and his wife Jess and several great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his mother Vera and his father William “Bill” Laird. Ross was the 1st person to ride The Sarnia Paratransit Van and was chosen to attend school at Variety Village in Toronto for two years. He worked at Wawanosh Enterprises for many years and made many friends there. The family wish to express their gratitude to Vision Nursing Home for their long time compassionate care of Ross for 30 years. Friends may call at the McCormack Funeral Home – Stewart Chapel, 254 George Street in Sarnia for visitation on Wednesday June 29 from 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at McCormack Funeral Home on Thursday June 30 at 11 am. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. Remembrances and condolences may be expressed to the family online in “Ross’s Guestbook” at mccormackfuneralhomesarnia.com. If desired, donations to March of Dimes, Vision Nursing Home or Lambton Elderly Outreach would be appreciated.
