Obituary Announcement

Battista, Italo “Ivan”

After a lengthy illness, Italo passed on Sunday February 23, 2020, at  Bluewater Health in Sarnia, at the age of 81. He has been the loving partner of Doreen Frayne for 30 years. Beloved father of Lianne Williams (Terry), Sandy Waring (Randy), June Simon (Ron), and Randy Battista (Marlene). Cherished Grandpa of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his two sisters Anna and Lia in Italy. Italo was predeceased by his parents Pasquale & Adalgisa, and his mother from childhood Berenice Bianchi. A heartfelt thanks goes out to Dr. Kim and the staff at the Palliative Care Unit for their compassionate care. In following with Italo’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place. Remembrances and condolences may be expressed to the family online in “Italo’s Guestbook” at mccormackfuneralhomesarnia.com. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
