Sim, Helen
With sadness but in celebration of a long life well lived, at 7:00 a.m. on March 22nd, as the sun rose on a bright but cold early Spring morning, our beloved Mom, Grandma and Great Grandma was released after a sudden change in her health to join Dad to dance together again in the heavens. Born June 23, 1923 Helen Margaret Sim (nee Pinkett) of Sarnia, peacefully passed away in her 94th year at Vision Nursing Home. Predeceased by her husband, Benjamin Sim, dear mother of Rory and Marion Sim, Wendy and Ken Percival, both of Sarnia, and Kevin and Sally Sim of London. Sister of the late Walter Pinkett and Gwen Chivers, both of Sarnia. Grandmother to Belinda Percival, Tim Percival (Diane), Meghan Kelly (Ed), Ryan Sim (Kristin), Sarah Sim and Kelsey Sim. Great grandmother to Claire Kelly, Emma Kelly, Elliott Sim, Jacob Sim, Kaitlyn Percival, Karson Percival, Sydney Percival and Colton Percival. It was at the request of Helen that there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service in Celebration of the Life of Helen Sim will be held at All Saints (previously known as St Georges) Anglican Church 248 Vidal St. N, Sarnia, Ont. N7T5Y4 on Monday March 27, 2017 at 11 am with the Reverend Cannon S Harnadek officiating. Many thanks to the health care professionals at Vision Care Nursing Home for their support, professionalism and kindness during this profoundly sad and difficult time. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Vision Nursing Home, or Alzheimer’s Society.
