It is not often that words fail me. However, with the passing of Darren, I am at a loss for words. He was taken far too early in his life. He had more years to experience the love that people had and will always have for him. I will remember Darren as a kind and courteous person; a person with whom it was easy to be a friend. It was obvious that he dearly loved his father and his step mother. Often, I heard him say to both his father, Derek and his “mom,” Theresa, “I love you.” And I know that both Derek and Theresa loved him. He will be forever in their thoughts. Good-bye, Darren. I wish that I had taken the time to know you better. Everyone who had the pleasure of knowing you, will remember you forever. Vaya con Dios. (Go with God.)
