Drulard (Jr), Clarence Roy
Clarence, with his late wife May (2017) were the former owners of Oakwood Corner’s Variety for 16 years at Lakeshore and Colborne Road. Peacefully on Sunday June 24, 2018 at Bluewater Health in Sarnia, at the age of 92. Clarence was the beloved husband of May for 68 years. Loving father of Brian and his wife Kay. Cherished Grandad of five, great Grandad of eleven and great great Grandad of six, and godfather to Diane Brown. Predeceased by his brother Leo and his sister Caroline Sanderson. Clarence will be remembered for helping his neighbours and friends, he loved to bicycle all around Sarnia, and also loved to restore bicycles and donate them to Africa. Cremation has taken place; a Memorial will be announced at a later date. If desired, donations to Heart & Stroke, the Diabetes Association or Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated. May and Clarence came to England to visit my Mother Rita Aunger. We toured about went to the south coast took a ride on hovercraft wanted to go on a hovercraft We went from Dover to France and back The Lake District , the East coast Whitby,Scarborough and many places too many to mention. We miss them both very much I and my two sons and daughter 29 years stopped then myself and my daughter have been over a few times and Clarence has driven to lots of places in Canada. We as a family shall miss Clarence and so enjoyed the we spent with him RIP ack

He was my Uncle and my Godfather, the last of his generation in our family. I remember spending my summers with he and my Aunt May at their home and learning how to count cash and take care of customers at their store. It must have stuck with me because, after graduating, I spent the next 30 years in business. I remember having tea at night, and with my cousin Brian, learning about country music. I grew up more Motown so this was an experience. Uncle Clarence was a quiet sort with an infectious laugh. You will be missed Uncle. Say hi to the family. We will miss you all.
