Lee, E. Agnes Margaret (n. Blake)
Agnes was born in Preston Cambridge, Ontario on September 26, 1921. She passed away on Wednesday the 15th of November 2017 at Trillium Villa Nursing Home in Sarnia, Ontario. Wife of the Late H. Ronald Lee of Sarnia, Ontario (December 25, 1988), predeceased by her mother, Agnes Margaret (n. Lamb) Blake (February 8, 1975) and father, Joseph Thomas Blake (March 9, 1956), sister Constance Mary (n. Blake) Lynch (October 17, 1991), nephew Peter William Blake (May 7, 1996) and her brother, William Joseph Thomas (Bill) Blake (October 1, 2008), of Preston, Cambridge, Ontario. She is survived by her niece Brenda (nee. Blake) Smith and her husband Ian Smith of Guelph, Ontario, nephew Matthew Smith, his wife Heather and their son Liam of Georgetown, Ontario, nephew Jeremy Rayment, his wife Pamela and their son Logan of Sault Saint Marie, Ontario, and her nephew Daniel Rayment of Tiny, Ontario. Agnes was born in Preston in 1921, where she attended public and high school. She was a member of St John’s Anglican Church in Preston. She married on September 15, 1952 in Cambridge and moved to London. She worked at Robt. Simpson Co. in London and was transferred to Sarnia to work for Simpson Sears and Sears Canada for many years and retired in August 1982. After her retirement, she volunteered at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Sarnia for five years on the Life Line Unit and six years in the Preadmission Clinic. She retired from her volunteer work in December 2002 due to health problems. Agnes had a great love for her home, gardens and helping other people. Friends will be received at the McCormack Funeral Home - Stewart Chapel, 254 George Street (at College Avenue) for visitation on Wednesday November 22nd from 12 noon to 1 pm. A Funeral service will follow at 1 o’clock. Burial will take place at New Hope Cemetery in Cambridge (Hespeler), Ontario on Friday November 24th. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to charity of one’s choice.
