Obituary

Parker, Robin Leanne

Robin Leanne Parker passed away peacefully on November 15th, 2022, at her Point Edward home, in the arms of her husband, Phil and her only daughter Krista. She fought a long illness with dignity and courage, even going on a Caribbean cruise with her husband and dear friends Pat and Brian, the week before she passed. She was born in Stratford, Ontario, the eldest of six brothers and sisters: Bonnie, Debbie, Mike, Sheilagh and Gordon. She is predeceased by her amazing parents Shirley and Keith Walker and also her beloved sister Debbie. She will be forever missed by her husband of 44 years, Phil, her daughter Krista, and her two granddaughters Haley and Hannah. She will also be missed by all her family and friends. A special thanks to Krista’s husband, George who was a great support to Robin. She was a truly beautiful person. Robin had a wonderful smile and was a loyal friend, a great hostess and a wise, kind mentor to her daughter and grandchildren. She loved music and loved to sing. Robin enjoyed her time singing with Seaway Sounds Chorus where she made many friends. She knew the lyrics of so many songs and she was also very fond of The Killers. Before retiring, Robin was a supervisor at Community Living, where she was a favourite of both staff and clients. Robin loved spending time with Scott, Kelly and their children Peyton, Olivia and Emmet. She was a gifted artist and loved to paint. Robin will be missed by her very special friends Lin, Enid, Ray, Pat and Brian who were a great comfort to her throughout her illness. She enjoyed recent visits from her family and good friends from Vancouver Island, Tom and Claire. Also, thanks go to Dr Lilly and the wonderful nurses that helped Robin so much. Dear Phil and Krista I am so very sorry for your loss. Robin was a beautiful lead in the Sweet Adeline chorus and I was privileged to sing with her. What a beautiful smile! We so enjoyed the wonderful pool parties at your home, she was a delightful hostess – talking and singing well into the night. Treasured memories of our times together. Our sincere condolences at this sad time.

Rockin Robin will always be remembered by us as a kind, beautiful personality that was fun to be around. We remember visits to their Bright's Grove house with favoured music from the good old years. She was never judgemental and always had a kind smile and positive words. The world was a better place because of her presence.

Parties at Christmas and by the pool that she hosted were the best! She always spoke with much love about her family. Sending my deepest condolences for your loss.

Phil, Krista, George, Haley, Hannah and families We were very lucky to have been next door neighbors of Robin and Phil. Robin was just one of those people that you liked from the moment you met her! She was beautiful, kind, thoughtful, and every good thing wrapped up in one package. Her laughter was the best ever! We smile remembering the good times we shared with Robin and shed tears to know that she will just be a treasured memory! Miss you! Love Judy & George
