Lisa and Family, My deepest condolences on the passing of your ZiZi. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Christina Iacobelli

My sincere condolences to Renata's family. What a wonderful person she was. I knew Renata from Bright's Grove school. I often ran into her at Northern, where she was cheering on the students. Renata was always smiling and laughing. Our chats always brightened my day!
Barbara Postil

I’d like to give my heartfelt condolences to Renata’s family. She was a fabulous person, very caring and always had a smile on her face. She watched both of our children play basketball for Northern and was a super fan of the Viking program. She was a source of support for so many students at Northern Collegiate and will be missed by many.
Beverly Woods

My deepest condolences to the Maola family and all effected by the lose of this beautiful soul. I never met her personally but the stories I heard remind us all to be kind, caring, compassionate and have a little fun in our lives like Renata did. My thoughts are with all of you.

I am so saddened to hear of the passing of Renata. I had the pleasure of seeing her daily in the halls of NCIVS. She was a true Viking and her spirit and enthusiasm was electric. She certainty will never be forgotten.

Sending prayers to the family Anna I am sorry for the loss of your sister. Renata was an amazing lady I worked with her at Northern and she always made me smile. Renata will be missed by everyone who new her.

Renata never met a stranger. You were treated as family as soon as she met you. I remember reading a short story years ago, I believe it was by Erma Bombeck, where a mother writes a letter to each of her sons. In each letter the mother outlined what she loved and admired about each son, and at the end of the letter, she wrote that she loved him the best and to not tell his brothers. These letters were handed out to each son at her funeral and each son sat there knowing that Mom had loved him best. This is the kind of love that Renata had for everyone. We are all feeling like we were her favourite and we are going to miss her terribly. Whether it was always having candy for the students at Northern, making gym time available for private basketball practice, cheering on the "Nortern Vickings" football team, hosting an amazing summer gathering or providing a home-away-from-home for her tenants, Renata showed us her love. Renata practiced radical hospitality and there are very few like her. We were lucky to know her and be loved by her. She will be missed.

To Renata's family Please accept our deepest sympathy in the loss of Renata. That smile was constantly on her face whenever we ran into her. Renata's parents were very good friends with my parents and Renata often accompanied her mother when she'd drop off goodies from her garden. Please know that both myself and my mother, Giuseppina, are thinking of you all at this very difficult time. Take comfort in knowing she is reunited with her parents and brothers.

Lisa, John & family, I'm in disbelief and so sad to hear about Renata passing away. She worked with me at Northern& I can say that Renata was bigger than life. She had a big heart for the students & faculty at Northern . She took pride in her work and it showed. She told me once that if she was the boss , she'd fire us all !! She brought lots of laughter to our shifts and if she liked you , she made you feel like family. Her bbqs were epic with family & friends. I felt privileged to be in her circle. All of us who worked with her & became her friends will miss her . Rest in peace Renata.

Very shocked and saddened about this news, I lived in the farmhouse above Renata for almost a year while I was working I Sarnia..she made me feel at home and welcomed more than I can ever put into any words, as someone who came from a close family from Nova Scotia is was comforting to them to know that i had someone looking out for me while I was working on the road..and I will never forget that..I hope the family finds peace and strength in this difficult time knowing that she left a mark on everyone who she crossed paths with

Very sad to hear of Renata's passing. Although I've not seen Renata in ages, she was secretary at the LiUNA Local 1089 (laborers union) when I was with them and spoke with her often regarding my job there. Your wonderful personality and smile will be missed by many Renata. Deepest heartfelt condolences to the Maola family.
