My condolences to the family/. “Marsh” Manning was a mentor to me and very much respected. He ran the machine shop supporting the research dyno and engine test facility, so he was a genius and meticulous in everything having to do with engines, cars, and airplanes. He was also the most personable person imaginable to educate the raw recruit idiots like me. I made excuses to talk to him at every opportunity and learned from every conversation. I will remember Marshall with the utmost respect.

Dear Marshall Family, My late husband (Simon) met Reta and Marshall at bike event at the London Fairgrounds. I believe it was our annual toy ride for kids. We all immediately clicked. Could it be that my own Dad’s name is Marshall, so anyone with that name, first or last are good in my books. I was so sad to read of Reta’s passing in 2013 and thought of Marshall often. Aside from the name commonality, Marshall & I had a love for the bag pipes. While visiting us in Ingersoll where we lived at the time, there happened to be a parade with an excellent pipe band! Your Dad & I had goosebumps listening - our spouses both hated it! Marshall was truly a gentleman and he could do absolutely anything and wasn’t afraid try. In the short time I knew him I grew to love him. I’m sure you will miss him very much. I will continue to think of him as always. May he rest in peace.
