Obituary

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mom, Grandma and Great-Grandma Anne Jarvis but it is also with joy that we know she has been reunited with the love of her life, Ross.
Our mom was born on September 3, 1939, to parents Alex and Mary Kozak. She was raised in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan and was always proud of both her Western Canada and Ukrainian heritage. She is predeceased by her siblings John, Alex, Bill and Nellie. She is survived by her sister and always best friend, Paula Evans (Clarence). Mom is also survived by sister-in-law Dorothy Smith as well as several nieces and nephews. Mom came to Ontario when she was just 15 years old and was welcomed by her sister Paula. She met the love of her life, Ross Jarvis, and soon they were married. They built a home and a family on the 10th Line just outside of Corunna and life was good. Together they raised 5 children and always raised farm animals as well, especially horses. In 1974 the family moved to Rokeby Line just outside of Petrolia and a new life began there. Between Corunna and Petrolia, many friendships were formed and both mom and dad continued to enjoy life. Mom is survived by her 5 children, Beth Sims (Tim), Robin Arnold (Jerry), Kara Jarvis (Dave), Kirstyn Fox and Scott Jarvis (Julie). She is also survived by her grandchildren Vicki, Tara, Desiree, Courtney, Josh (Ashley), Jacob (Nicole), Jared, Georgia, Eamonn, Dallas and Jett. Mom is also survived by great-grandchildren Boen, Vance, Quinn, Isaac, Maverick and Bridget. Mom loved her family and was especially happy when new little ones came along. A special thank you to Dr. Mall, Dr. Tin, Dr Lily, Amanda the palliative care nurse, and also the nurses and PSW’s at Bluewater Health Continuing Care, Petrolia, for their compassionate care of mom. As per moms wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service and burial will take place at a later time. Remembrances and condolences may be expressed to the family online in “Anne’s Guestbook” at mccormackfuneralhomesarnia.com. If you wish to honour our mom's memory, please do a kind deed today for someone in need or donate to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Funeral arrangement by the McCormack Funeral Home in Sarnia.

To a Great Mother In-Law. I met Anne when I was 15 years old. She welcomed me into the family right from the start. Anne always enjoyed family get togethers. She really liked to make sure you always had lots to eat. It made her happy when she was feeding guests. Our 3 girls have great memories of Grandma Jarvis, like going out to the Farm for the weekend sleep overs, Chicken Plucking Day, going to Larry Kozak’s for the Family Reunions (Barn Dance) and many more get togethers. I am sure the other Grandkids have great memories also. Anne will be sadly missed by her Family. She will be in Heaven seeing the love of her life Ross.
