There will be a Celebration of Garry's Life, gathering and barbeque in his backyard,

on

Sunday, September 12, 2021, from 1PM-7PM.

All who knew him are welcome to attend.

Simpson, niece Tracey (Mark) Dennis, niece B.J. (John) Phibbs, nephew David Frost, niece Carrie Simpson, and many great-nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by his parents Vitaline ("Billie") and Cecil Simpson, brothers Steve (Shirley) and Shaun Simpson, and nephew Timmy Simpson. Garry was a friendly and outgoing man who made new friends everywhere he went. He was patient (more so in his later years), generous, and understanding. He was a constant source of positivity and boisterousness to those fortunate enough to be acquainted with him. He could be stubborn at times and was very particular about how he liked things to be done, but he did so with an incredible sense of humour. He will be remembered for his fondness towards the Toronto Maple Leafs, MOPAR and muscle cars in general, old country music, and tending to his beautiful yard. He was remarkably creative and enjoyed painting and photography. He was an animal lover who had several extremely spoiled dogs throughout the years, and always ensured the birds and squirrels who visited his yard were kept plump. Garry lived a rich, full life that was a constant source of adventure, and he was a fantastic storyteller who regaled us frequently with tales of his experiences. He will be sorely missed and thought of every single day - as he was in life. Remembrances and condolences may be expressed to the family online in “Garry’s Guestbook at

I was privileged to be Garry and Marg's neighbor for a few years. Definitely a great guy, and someone who made that neighborhood a home. My love and condolences to Marg, Lynne and his entire family. Rest well brother.
