Obituary

Colin Mackinnon Taylor, 69, passed away on August 11, 2023, after a brief illness.

Born in Stratford, Ontario, on January 14, 1954, Colin was predeceased by parents Ronald Dennis and Laura Jessie (Mackinnon) Taylor, brother Michael Taylor, brother-in-law John Till and sister-in-law Hilda Taylor. He is survived by his sister Dorcas Till and brothers Stewart Taylor, Ronald (Pat) Taylor, Geoff (Diana) Taylor and sister-in-law Karen Taylor. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. He will be dearly missed by Jim (Mary) Tayler and Teresa Birkmann.

Colin will be remembered by his loving family, friends and fellow musicians for his sense of humour, boisterous laugh and a presence that could fill any room. As an accomplished guitarist, he travelled from gig to gig covering the blues greats and wrote and recorded his own music. He was a buyer and seller of vintage musical instruments, which was one of his greatest passions in life.

Colin lived his final years in Sarnia, Ontario, pursuing his love of music.

Cremation has taken place and in lieu of flowers or gifts of sympathy please feel free to make a donation to University Hospital Cardiac Unit (London) or a charity of your preference. Colin's life will be celebrated with a private family gathering. Remembrances and condolences may be expressed to the family online in “Colin’s Guestbook” at mccormackfuneralhomesarnia.com.
