Peacefully on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at Bluewater Health in Sarnia, at the age of 93. Vaios was the beloved husband of the late Chrisoula (2016) for 64 years. Loving father of Mary Margaritis and her husband Argyrios, and cherished son Tom. Devoted papou of Demetrios Margaritis and his wife Christina, and Athena Niarchos and her husband Jonathan. Great papou of Nicholas, Marianna and Ioanna. Survived by his sisters Chrisoula Sventzouris and her husband Kosta, Agoro Tolos and her husband Georgio, as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his siblings Christo and his wife Sotiria, Alexandra Inglezos and her husband Panayioti, and Peter and his wife Eleni. Vaios was one of the founding members of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church and an active member of the community. Friends will be received at McCormack Funeral Home – Stewart Chapel, 254 George Street on Monday, November 13, 2017 from 7-9 pm. Prayers will be held at 8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 1299 Murphy Road, on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at 11 am. Interment to follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
