Peacefully on Wednesday January 17, 2018 at Trillium Villa Nursing Home, Florence Sokowski passed away at the age of 89. Beloved wife of the late Rudolph (1997). She will be dearly missed by her friends Wanda Soulliere and her daughters Sylvia, Taylor, Ricki-Leigh and Makaylah, Lena Lindhout, and Pieter Lindhout and his wife Elizabeth, and their sons Hendrik and Zakery Desroches. Florence will always be remembered to us as being fiercely independent, strong willed, loyal in her friendships and compassionat e to those closest to her. To the staff at Trillium Villa, thank you for your wonderful care, her last year there was amongst the happiest of her life, she called it “Home”. Friends will be received at McCormack Funeral Home – Stewart Chapel, 254 George Street (at College Avenue) for a Funeral Service on Monday January 22 at 2pm. Interment to follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
