Obituary Announcement
Haywood, Agnes
Peacefully on Friday, August 25, 2017, surrounded by her family, Agnes Haywood passed away at Trillium Villa Nursing Home at the age of 90. Beloved wife of her late husband Douglas (2017) for 69 years. She leaves behind her daughter Susan Stebbins (Bob), and sons Steven (Wendy) and Dave (Cathy) Haywood. She adored and loved spending time with her grandchildren, Chad (Stacey), Kellie (Curt), Katie (Wes), Corey, and Dan, and her great grandchildren, Presley, Hailey, and Grady. Sadly, she will not be with us to welcome the newest arrival in December. Agnes enjoyed her many years as a sales person for Woolco, making many friends of the people she worked with. Dear Sister of Garnet Hill in B.C. Predeceased by her brothers Ike (Jackie) Hill and Roy (Carol) Hill and by her sister-in-law Ruth Hill. She had many passions throughout her life including gardening, quilt making, sewing, cake decorating, floral arrangements, reading and colouring. Special thanks to the excellent care and compassion shown to mom by the staff in the BWH Dialysis Unit for the past 5 years and the staff at Trillium Villa Nursing Home during her last 6 months, the Lambton Elderly Outreach van drivers, schedulers and PSW’s. Friends will be received at the McCormack Funeral Home - Stewart Chapel, 254 George Street (at College Avenue) for visitation on Monday August 28, from 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at McCormack Funeral Home on Tuesday August 29 at 11 am. Cremation will follow. Remembrances and condolences may be expressed to the family online in “Agnes’s Guestbook” at mccormackfuneralhomesarnia.com. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the BWH Dialysis Unit, the Kidney Foundation, or Lambton Elderly Outreach.
Mom wasn’t ready to go! But we’re glad that her suffering has ended, finally.

So sorry to hear of your loss. I had known Agnes for many years. She and I had belonged together to a few groups, most recently aerobic dancing. Also, frequently shopped at the same grocery store on a regular basis. Always enjoyed our "chats". Shared stories of our families. Found out through the obituary that I also knew a member of the extended family. Roy Hill. Agnes was always so pleasant and up beat. So saddened to hear of her passing.

I was VERY sorry to hear of Agnes passing. I was not aware that Doug had passed away earlier this year. I have SO MANY fond memories of them both at the soccer games when I coached Kellie. They were both so friendly. Doug would always tell me that if I was short players that he would play :) I would meet them quite often at the grocery store and we would have a good chat about the game that week. We live up North now but please know that my thoughts and condolences are with ALL of you at this difficult time. A very special couple. Dona Doyon
