Obituary Announcement

Turner, Laurie Ann (nee Norland)

Laurie Ann Turner (nee Norland) passed away peacefully at home on Sunday evening, September 8th, 2 019 with her mother and a number of friends by her side.  At the age of 58, Laurie succumbed after a long, hard fought medical battle. Laurie is survived by her son Jake (Evans) of London, her mother, Laureen Norland, and brothers Allan and Jeff Norland all of Sarnia. As well as, being survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, Laurie was fortunate to have made countless friends throughout her life.  Laurie was predeceased by her husband Dave (Turner). Born in Sarnia, Ont. on September 3rd, 1961 Laurie spent most of her adult life in Sarnia, attending high school and Lambton College.  Except for a period of time when she and Dave lived on a farm outside of London where she focused on her love for horses, she was a Sarnia resident. Throughout her long medical battle, Laurie seldom complained perhaps because she was fortunate to have obtained the help of a number of dedicated and loyal PSW’s who took it on as their personal goal to ensure Laurie was looked after in the best way possible. At Laurie’s request there will only be a small, private ceremony at a later date. Remembrances and condolences may be expressed to the family online in "Laurie's Guestbook" at mccormackfuneralhomesarnia.com. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Laurie’s name to the Sarnia Humane Society.
