Obituary Announcement

Vaughan, Hazel Winnifred Gabrielle

“A Life Well Lived”

Suddenly on Saturday May 30, 2020 after a socially distant 96th birthday on Friday at Fairwinds Lodge we lost our beloved mom and grandmother Hazel “Bud” Vaughan.  She has reunited with her first love, late husband Rod “Poppa” Vaughan. Hazel is predeceased by her parents John and Violet Hayter, her brother John Hayter and her son-in-law Tom Armstrong. Mom “Bud” is lovingly missed and remembered by her beloved sister Joan Evans and family in England, her three daughters and their families.  Janet Beatty, Jackie (Tom) Knight and Jodi Armstrong.  Cherished grandmother of Tevlin (Shawn) Mundell, Buzz Beatty, Darryl (Amanda) Knight, Andrea Knight, Christopher (Stephanie) Knight, TJ (Sharlene) Armstrong and Jim Armstrong.  Great grandmother of Karlee (Adam) Page, Billy Page, Jacob Page, Maddison Oliver, Everett Knight and Charlie Knight.  Great great grandmother of Millee Huff. Bud loved sitting in our gardens, feeding the squirrels and birds, family dinners, playing games on her iPad and her favourite crossword puzzles. We will miss her unforgettable laugh but take comfort in knowing that she is now laughing on the back of Poppa's motorcycle. Remembrances and condolences may be expressed to the family online in “Hazel’s Guestbook” at mccormackfuneralhomesarnia.com.

Am a resident of Fairwinds Lodge. Just wanted to say that Hazel was a lovely lady and a delight to know. She always had a smile on her face and a cute laugh. My girlfriend and I had a few meals with Hazel. We certainly enjoyed her company and she always had nice things to say . She was a delight to know and I will miss her. So sorry for your loss. She will be in my prayers
