Obituary Announcement

Gary Leonard Allan

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Gary Allan announce his passing at Trillium Villa Nursing Home on June 1, 2020 at the age of 73.  Gary is predeceased by his parents, Helen and Donald (Dunk) Allan, his sister Betty Pauley, his brother-in-law Victor Pauley and niece Peggy Manchester (Pauley).  Gary is survived by his brother Donald Allan Jr., his sister Brenda Evans, his nieces Carole, Cathy and Cory, and nephews Tim, Jeff and Todd.  Gary was a lifelong resident of Sarnia and worked at Polysar from the time he graduated high school until the time he retired.  He enjoyed going to his trailer at Henderson’s Conservation area and made many friends there.  He also loved country music and wrote articles with his good friend, Tim Clark, for Country Music News.  He was an avid woodworker and made many beautiful creations for family and friends.  During his time at Trillium Villa, he looked forward to his weekly visits with his sister Brenda and going to the Pub on Friday afternoons.  He especially liked Brenda’s regular deliveries of baked goods and Mountain Dew.  Gary’s family would like to say a special thank you to the staff at Trillium Villa who took such good care of him over the last few years.  Remembrances and condolences may be expressed to the family online in "Gary's Guestbook" at mccormackfuneralhomesarnia.com. Expressions of sympathy can be made through donations to the Sarnia Humane Society in memory of Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock, his beloved cats.
