She will be fondly missed by her niece Helen Thompson (Dean), nephew Adam Wilding, Catherine Worton, Stephen (Esther) Hawkins, Diane Barney, Anita Mardenbough, Sheila and Brian Rooker. Rita was born in Smethwick, England and worked as an office clerk where she met Raymond. They married and operated a florist shop together in Birmingham for 19 yrs. In 1968, Rita and her family immigrated to Canada and settled in Sarnia. She worked for several clothing stores, and always maintained a love for fashion. Rita was a longstanding member of Bethel Church with an outstanding love for the Lord Jesus. She was the founder of Women’s Aglow Fellowship, Southwestern Ontario in 1976, also instrumental in the inception of Bethel Keenagers Ministry. Message For The Family.
We're so sorry we were not able to attend Rita's funeral. Rita has meant so much to us over the years, and we have so many fond memories of her. She brought much joy and love to those who knew her. We can picture her up in heaven, in perfect health, singing and dancing with others who have gone before her (including Addie, my sister and her much loved friend). Our thoughts and prayers go out to you all. Love, Carrol and Roger Collins
