Obituary
Wade, Patricia Gayle “Pat”
Peacefully with her family by her side, on Tuesday November 1, 2022, at Victoria Hospital in London, at the age of 67. Pat was the beloved wife of Ronald Wade (2015), and the loving mother of Lindsay Wade. Pat will be sadly missed by her siblings Jim Robb, Alice Finlayson, and Brad Robb (Susan), along with many nieces and nephews. Pat was predeceased by her parents Jean and Walter Robb, her brother John Robb, and brother-in-law Jim Finlayson. Pat was proud of her career as a dedicated X-ray Technologist at Grey Bruce Health Services-Owen Sound. She cherished her long-term friendships with her staff members and friends in the Owen Sound community. Pat will be remembered for her love of arts and crafts, her quick wit and lively sense of humour, for how much she enjoyed camping and for how well she took care of everyone. Cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will follow. Remembrances and condolences may be expressed to the family online in “Pat’s Guestbook” at mccormackfuneralhomesarnia.com. If desired a donation to Diabetes Canada would be gratefully appreciated.

Lindsay I was very saddened to read about your mom's passing. I worked with Pat in imaging and sure enjoyed her company when we were in the lunch room and of course our wonderful Christmas parties. When she retired and moved away I still enjoyed her posts on Facebook and marvelled at the wonderful socks she knitted. I'm so sorry for your loss.....Diane Sheppard retired ultrasound tech

Lindsay we have no words to truly express our deep sadness hearing about your Mum. She was a Mama Bear for both our children when needed, who stood up for those that needed her. She was kind yet direct, stern yet mischevious and always loving to those who She cared about. Both she and your dad were Amazing people we were blessed to know. We will hold those special memories close. Please know you are in our hearts and prayers during this heartbreaking time and we send you our Love to help guide you in the days ahead. Pat played such a vital role in my life and in my career. She was there when I needed her in a time where I was very alone. She was a caring and funny person. Her light shone so bright. My deepest sympathies to her family as I know she will be missed beyond words. Lots of love from Marina, Jake and Landon

Pat was such a special friend, co-worker and cared so deeply for every student technologist that she mentored and taught during her career as the clinical instructor at GBHS. I will remember how you never bought a raffle ticket if she did……because she usually won! She was a talented crafter, potter, artist and knitter. Her wool socks are famous and I myself have 4 pairs that I got while visiting her in her apartment in London. She was so happy there with you Lindsay. We are sending our sincere sympathy on the loss of your dear momma. She will be so missed. Susan Barfoot and family

“Mama Pat” was my clinical supervisor when I was doing my placement as an X-ray technologist in Owen Sound. She was just as her name implies, she treated all of her students like they were her own family. She helped make me the technologist I am today. She will be greatly missed by myself and everyone she had contact with. Thinking of you all in this very difficult time.
