Obituary
McDonald, Robert “Rocky”
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Robert John "Rocky" McDonald on Sunday May 10, 2026, at Bluewater Health in Sarnia, at the age of 67.
Rocky was born on February 24, 1959, in St. Thomas, Ontario and grew up with a great love of the outdoors. While he worked at the CSX Railroad in Sarnia for 45 years, he would spend the rest of his free time fishing and hunting with his friends.
He will be lovingly remembered by wife of 38 years Carol McDonald; children Emily and Braden, his brothers; Michael McDonald and Stuart McDonald (Debbie), his sister-in-law Cheryl DiBrita (Frank), along with many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Wilburn and Marion McDonald.
Though his time with us was far too short, his memory will live on in the hearts of friends and family forever. Aquamation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Remembrances and condolences may be expressed to the family online in “Rocky’s Guestbook” at mccormackfuneralhomesarnia.com.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
