Obituary
Bev Lymburner
Peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice Sarnia, on Friday April 12th, 2024, Beverly Joyce Lymburner passed away at the age of 63 after a bravely fought second battle with cancer. Much loved sister of Lori (Bob) Thwaites (Windsor) and Carol (Rich) Chapman (Mississauga). Bev will be sadly missed by her nephews Andrew and William Chapman. Predeceased by her parents Barbara (Lymburner) Prince (2011) and Edward Wray Lymburner (1980) as well as her stepfather Jean-Paul Prince (2002), and her grandparents John Earnest (1981) and Marie Sanderson (2009). Bev was very proud of her career as a cook at Cosmos Restaurant for over 20 years; and before disability impacted her ability to work, she was most recently an employee of Tim Hortons near Northgate Plaza. Bev was a diligent, reliable and steadfast employee, all characteristics which translated into her life with her family and circle of friends. In any situation, good or bad, Bev was always there to listen. A gentle and tender-hearted soul, she loved nothing more than card parties with her friends and family get togethers. She enjoyed many outings at the Casino and Bingo with Debbie Peters, her friend of more than 40 years. She loved to travel and along with Mom visited Florida, Hawaii, and Las Vegas. She was also able to fulfill a lifelong dream of travelling to Greece. Her spirit will live on in those who knew and loved her. May you rest in peace, reunited with Mom. The family wishes to thank Dr. Lilly and the nursing staff on Med A fourth floor as well as the staff and volunteers at St. Joseph’s Hospice. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at the McCormack Funeral Home, 254 George Street (at College Avenue) for visitation on Saturday April 20, starting at noon, to be followed by a service at 1pm. Private interment will follow at a later date. Remembrances and condolences may be expressed to the family online in “Bev’s Guestbook” at mccormackfuneralhomesarnia.com. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society or St. Joseph’s Hospice Sarnia.
