Kampstra, Donald Ross “Gramps”
May 17, 1934 – March 2, 2022
It is with heavy hearts we announce that Donald has passed away peacefully at C.E.E. Hospital of Bluewater Health in Petrolia on Wednesday March 2, 2022. Donald was the loving father of Barb Allardyce of Sarnia, Geraldine Moore of Sarnia, and Patricia Rabideau of Windsor. Grandfather of David and Vincent Allardyce, Tara Moore, Jerry Glysinski, Terry & Corey Millar, Robin Huggett, Michelle Rawson and Carson Dawdy, and great grandfather of Aimee, Abby, Vincent Jr., Brett & Kurtis Allardyce, and Hailey & Lainey Huggett. He will be remembered his sister’s Dorothy Langer (Bruce) of Sarnia, Shirley Fraser (John) of London, his brother Albert of Sarnia, his special friend Jean Chovancek, and his neighbour Lorne McKeown. Donald was the son of the late John & Isabella (n. Mason) Kampstra, husband of the late Pauline, brother of the late Jack, and his grandfather to the late Jimmy Glysinski and Skylar Rabideau. He worked as a Glazier and was a member of The International Union of Painters & Allied Trades until his retirement. He was a lifelong resident of Lambton County. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Donald’s Life and Reception will be held at The Royal Canadian Legion Br. 388, 493 Erie Street, Wyoming Ontario, on Saturday May 14th, 2022, from 1 – 4 pm.
