My condolences to all who have lost something when we lost Jay. I may not have stayed in close contact with Jay, but for two and a half years I can say he was both one of my best friends, and a large part of one of the best chapters in my life. Moving to Sarnia, getting ready for college, being a small town hick kid completely naive about the world, when suddenly this larger than life “big brother” takes that kid under his wing, who also happens to live in the same building. Many an adventure was had, and many, many of my stories from that chapter of my life starts with “So Jay and I…” or “Jay had an idea..”. I do think that this is one of those rare cases where things are just a little dimmer now. Rest easy brother.

My condolences, Jason and I worked together at numerous bars over the years, he had a wonderful mix of professionalism and wit , and you could count on him when things went sideways. He and I shared a love of hunting and target shooting., he knew more about guns then anyone I've ever known and I will always appreciate his knowledge and how he offered his services and opinions so freely. Years ago I bought a new gun and he offered to put a sight on it for me. He looked up the parts he would want and had it perfect for me in an afternoon. I hadn't seen him for a while lately, but we sent each other some kind of funny nonsense links and videos here and there and when we did chat he always asked me about my kids, how the old crew was doin, and when we were gonna go shooting out at my brothers farm next. He was a good friend and will be missed

Life is a book with many chapters. He will always be a part of a few of mine. Jason and I had many great memories that make me smile when I think of them.

Sorry for your loss. Jason was a great person.

I offer my most sincere condolences. Jason and I were friends through our involvement in the firearms community, and most notably involvement with the CCFR. We didn't know each other well, but I know he was a stand-up honorable man. When I had to fly back home to Sarnia on very short notice and needed a ride from London, Jay didn't hesitate to make it happen even though we had not met in person prior. Jay will be missed in the great outdoors. Cheers my friend.

Alan and I are so sorry for the family's loss. Jason was highly regarded in our family. He was the kind of man you could rely on for help through the hard stuff and hearty laughs during the good times. In fact when we were married Jason was the Best Man. A choice that truly made the day meaningful and created so many memories that we hold close. It's so hard to believe he's really gone, we hope he has found a great fishing hole where ever he is, and is kicked back enjoying some of those "forbidden ciders".
