Forever in Our Hearts
Joanne Gaccioli (Garwood) passed away peacefully on April 21, 2024, in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 74. She was born on March 30, 1950, to her loving parents Jim and Rosetta Garwood. Was married to the love of her life for 46 Mauro Gaccioli before he passed in 2019. Joanne was a devoted mother to her two children, Tracy Cochrane (Frank Massa) and Jody Rathier (John Rathier). She was a doting grandmother to her 15 grandchildren, two very Special great grandchildren Sophia Grace and Mia Lynn. As well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. A sister to Tammy Allan and Gary Garwood. Throughout her life, Joanne was known for her kindness, generosity, and infectious laughter. She was the life of every party and had a gift for making others feel welcome and loved. Joanne had a passion for cooking and entertaining, and her family and friends will always cherish the memories of gathering around her table to share a meal and laughter. Joanne's strength and resilience were evident in her battle with cancer, which she faced with courage and grace. Her positive attitude and unwavering faith were an inspiration to all who knew her. The world has lost a shining light with Joanne's passing, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
