Armstrong, Bertha Mae

Bertha Mae Armstrong, age 85 of Sarnia, passed away suddenly on Wednesday September 18, 2024, at Bluewater Health in Sarnia. Bertha was the beloved wife of the late Thomas (2022) for 62 years. Mother of Rick Armstrong (Lori), Shelley Yule, and special niece Joanne Kerr. Grandmother of Blake Armstrong (Nicole) and Nicole Walko (Tory). Great grandmother to Diego, Meadow, Neveah, Hunter, Vivian and Bennett. Survived by her sister Yvonne Bell. Predeceased by her parents Laurie Leslie and Mae Boyd, and her brother Jack Leslie. Tom and Bert met in Halifax through the Navy dances. Later they moved to Sarnia where they started a family. Tom and Bert shared many cherished memories with their motorcycle friends Betty and the late Don Small. They also loved to host parties in their basement bar with the Briarfield Avenue gang. Bert loved playing euchre and played with several card groups. Cremation has taken place and Berts’s remains will be interred at Lakeview Cemetery on Monday September 23 at 10:30 am.
