Obituary

Warren Leroy Allen
January 13, 1933 – February 12, 2026

Warren Leroy “Roy” Allen went to be with Jesus on Thursday, February 12, 2026. He was predeceased by his parents, Stayley and Viva Allen of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. One of ten children, Roy was the beloved brother of Bertie, Murray, Muriel, Rita, Nina, Marion, Amy, Stayley Jr., and Elizabeth.

Roy moved to Sarnia in 1950 and was employed at Polymer for 41 years. He was a devoted father to his three sons: Warren (Rachel), Steven (Marcia), and Roger (Deb). He was also a proud grandfather to four grandchildren and great-grandfather to five, with a sixth on the way.

Roy enjoyed many hobbies, including making and fixing things, crafting, and, in his earlier years, even built two houses. He was faithfully active for many years at his home church, Bethel Pentecostal.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Adeline (“Addie”), in 2012, with whom he held chapel services for twenty years at Vision Nursing Home, and by his son Steven in July 2025.

Roy and Addie created a lifetime of cherished memories for their family, including road trips, camping, canoeing, and a home where Christ was front and centre. In later years, he spent many summers in Nova Scotia and earlier retirement winters in Florida. He was immensely proud of his family and grateful for every day God gave him.

His greatest joy was knowing the Lord, and he longed for the day he would see Jesus face to face. That faith became sight on Thursday, February 12. While we miss him dearly, we take comfort in knowing he is in the presence of the One who created and saved him.

A celebration of Roy’s life will be held at Bethel Pentecostal Church, 1565 London Line, Sarnia, Ontario, on Saturday, April 18 at 1:00 p.m. The service will be live-streamed for those who wish to watch online; please visit Bethel Sarnia Live on YouTube for streaming access. A luncheon will follow in the church reception hall.

Remembrances and condolences may be expressed to the family online in “Warren’s Guestbook” at mccormackfuneralhomesarnia.com.
