Devyn was such a bright, wonderful person. She had such a great sense of humour, and always had the coolest style... I must admit I had a crush on her for ages! Intelligent, beautiful, independent and strong. Simply a bright light in what is sometimes an all-too-dark world. She and I talked not that long ago while she was in Sarnia. As someone who has been in dark places before, I told her I would help her in any way I possibly could. Sadly, before I heard from her again, I found out she had passed away. Twisted up my insides and really broke me down. She deserved so much better. I hope society can start helping to fix this crisis. And personally, I will do anything I can to prevent another friend from meeting the same fate. If you are in a dark place or battling addiction, there is help available. You can make it out -- just reach out for help. Sending love to her family, AMR
