Obituary Announcement
Conlon; Marilyn
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Marilyn Joyce Conlon born March 5th, 1935, died June 22, 2016. Marilyn is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 60 years, Bob Conlon. She is also survived by her three daughters: Linda (children: Peter and Rita), Diane(children: Michael and Liam), and Debra (children: Tabitha and Diego) and is predeceased by her oldest son Michael (children: Alex and Laura). Marilyn was a free spirit with a love for life, a strong determination, and an incredibly strong athletic ability. She was a strong swimmer and passed that love of swimming onto her children. She also had a great passion for golf. A passion that she was able to share with her husband and they were known to sometimes even do 36 holes in a day together. She kept that passion of golf alive by remaining a social member of the golf club with her husband. A place that her family was able to celebrate many special events, including Marilyn’s 80th birthday party last year where it was a nice opportunity for Marilyn to see a lot of relatives and friends. Marilyn’s great sense of humour, compassion, love, and impishness will be truly missed. Friends may call at the McCormack Funeral Home – Stewart Chapel, 254 George Street (at College Avenue) for visitation on Saturday June 25 beginning at 10 am. A Funeral Service will follow at 11 am. Remembrances and condolences may be expressed to the family online in “Marilyn’s Guestbook” at mccormackfuneralhomesarnia.com. Should friends desire, contributions may be made to Parkinson's Canada.

Message For The Family.
Dear Bob and family: We met Marilyn (and Bob) in Fort McMurray in 1983 and it wasn't long before a Couple's Bridge Club was formed. Marilyn taught lessons to me (Sharon) and my girl friends. She was a great teacher and her jovial personality made the lessons enjoyable. She and Bob provided the Couple's group with all the "props" to ensure we were "armed" with the best knowledge. Thank you, Bob, for your patience at the Bridge table as well. We are thinking of all of you, with love, Sharon and John
